Mrs. Doris M. Allen, age 71, passed away in her home in Brownsville, Tennessee, Wednesday, April 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband: William F. Allen; two sons: Charles C. Allen and Joseph Leon Allen; one daughter: Rebecca P. Allen; three brothers: Billy R. Sweat, Rayburn Sweat, J. C. Sweat, and Harold Sweat; and two sisters: Joy E. Elrod and Nell K. Foster. Funeral services will be conducted in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 7, 2008 with burial following in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Allen is survived by two sons: William E. Allen, Bells, TN and Michael D. Allen, Woodlawn, TN; one daughter: Pamela Iglesias, Brownsville, TN; one brother: Roger D. Sweat, Bells, TN; two sisters: Betty G. Cook, Millington, TN and Annie Rankin, Bells, TN; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
