Mrs. Bess Parks Bridgewater Nelson, age 81, passed away in Humboldt Nursing Home, Humboldt, Tennessee, Monday, August 4, 2008. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Mr. George Smith Bridgewater; her parents: Mr. Edgar Parks and Mrs. Lyde Lewis Parks; and a brother: Mr. Edgar Lewis Parks. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Brownsville Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be conducted in Brownsville Memorial Gardens at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 6, 2008 with Dr. H. K. Sorrell officiating. Interment will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband: Harold E. Nelson, Koko Community, Haywood County, TN; one son: Bert Bridgewater and his wife, Virginia, Jackson, TN; one daughter: Melba Homra, Jackson, TN; four grandchildren: Lindsey Siroky, Marshall Homra, Audrey Bridgewater, and Clay Parks Bridgewater; and one great-grandchild: George William Siroky.
