Kenneth R. Ellington

Licensed Funeral Director

Kenny, a native of Brownsville, worked part-time for the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes during his high school years, and returned full time in 2004 to make this his life work. 

Kenny makes memorial DVDs for our families, and has served in all areas of the funeral home, from opening and closing graves, and graveside set ups, to meeting and serving the needs of the families we serve.  

Kenny is married to Katherine Warren Ellington and they have three children, Kaitlyn, Matthew, and Camon Marie, and a Havanese dog, Buddy, and is a member of Zion Baptist Church. He enjoys fishing and drag racing in his spare time.



Jim Ennis

Funeral Director, Embalmer, Pre-Need Sales Counselor, and Licensed Insurance Agent

Jim has over 20 years of experience in the funeral, insurance, and pre-need industries. He has served over 1,000 families in the last 13 years.

Jim graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he is presently a student advisory council member. He is also a member of the Tennessee Academy of Graduate Embalmers.

Jim and his wife, Michelle, have two children, Joanna and Lincoln. He has been an ordained minister for over 20 years.



Judy Carol Blair

Office Manager

Judy Carol Blair was born in Bells, TN, where she has resided most of her life. She is the 6th of 7 siblings born to Alvin Walker Hoppers and Eula Mae Jones Hoppers.

Judy was married to Gary Wayne Blair for 39 years. They had one child: Cynthia Carol Blair Watson who passed away in 1994 and one grandson: Jacob Todd Watson.

Judy is an active member of Holly Grove Baptist Church, Bells TN, where she served as Sunday school teacher for Youth and Adult classes. Judy serves on several committees including Youth chaperone, the cemetery committee and the kitchen committee. Judy has also been a volunteer for Birth Choice pregnancy crises center.



Paul Lott

Family Service Counselor, Cemetery Manager for Brownsville Memorial Gardens, and Licensed Insurance Agent

Paul is a native of Brownsville. He and his wife, Jane, are active members of First Assembly of God Church. They have three children: Dana Hobock, Pete Lott, and Jeremy Arnold.

Paul is also a member of the Carl Perkins Center Board of Directors, President-Elect for the Brownsville Exchange Club, and Ambassador for the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce. He is a twenty year veteran of the insurance industry and is the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes Licensed Preneed Counselor.

Paul also handles sales for Brownsville Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum.



Silas Wilson

Licensed Funeral Director

Fred Jones asked Silas to come to work for him in 1954. Silas chose to accept the job at the funeral home instead of having to plow field for a living.

After becoming a licensed funeral director in 1957, he has worked here full time for fourty-six years and continues to work part-time.

Silas is married to Betty Gordon Wilson. They have two children, Stephen Dale Wilson and Sandra Jo Wilson Sinclair, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.



Wendell Bradford

Non-Licensed Funeral Assistant

Wendell has worked at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes since 1965. He helps open and close graves and assists in cemetery management by helping maintain Brownsville Memorial Gardens.

Wendell is married to Ann Conatzer Bradford; has two children: Wendy Timms and her husband Bill, and Phillip Bradford and his wife Leta; and two grandchildren: Andy Timms and Candy Timms.



Thomas Callery

Non-Licensed Funeral Assistant

Thomas Callery, a native of Haywood County, worked part-time for the Brownsville Funeral Home from 1955-1961 while attending Haywood High School and Union University in Jackson. Following service in the U.S. Army (1961-1964), he returned to Brownsville and entered the Insurance Business and again worked part-time at the Brownsville Funeral Home (1964-1969).

Tom served on the staff of U.S. Senator Bill Brock (1970-1976) and after wards was appointed United States Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee retiring in 1994. He then served as Assistant Commissioner with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation in Nashville until retirement in 2003.

Tom is a member of Brownsville First Presbyterian Church, the Brownsville Exchange Club, the Brownsville/Haywood County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tennessee Conservation Commission. He is married to the former Barbara Marbury. They have two children, JoAnna Morris of Brownsville and John Calllery of Oxford, MS, and four grandchildren, Gray and Graham Morris of Brownsville and Porter and Miller Callery of Oxford.



Randy Kipley

Non-Licensed Funeral Assistant

Randy has been a resident of Brownsville for almost 11 years.  He was an employee of the federal government for over 31 years, working as a wildlife biologist with the US Forest Service in Arkansas, West Virginia, and Mississippi, became Assistant Refuge Manager at Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge in 1999, and then retired as Refuge Manager of Reelfoot and Lake Isom National Wildlife Refuges in 2007. 

Randy has been married to the former Marylin Partain for almost 30 years.  Randy and Marylin are members of First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville where they are active in the choir.  Randy’s interests include playing the guitar, working on family genealogy, and paying attention to their 3 cats.
